How to change Kaspersky 2012 skin

 



The first and perhaps the most accurate method, this change in the configuration file in the original skin for us to display the desired option, as always in the settings.

Steps : 

 1.  Disable Self-Defense  (To do this, go to Settings => Advanced Settings => Self Defense and remove the checkbox with the option "Enable Self-Defense")

 


2.  Now go to  
C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2012\skin\layout 
(In 64 bit Operating System) 
                                                                           or
C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2012\skin\layout 
(In 32 bit Operating System)

3. Now open  “settings.ini” in Notepad, and find 

[OptionsWindow_Navigator_WorkArea_Gui_Body_Skin] use(0)”;     

and replace it with  

  “[OptionsWindow_Navigator_WorkArea_Gui_Body_Skin] use (! Env ("SkinSwitchDisabled") | | env ("SkinSwitchDisabled") == "0")

4. Now save it.

after Save the changes
 
5. Enabling Self-Defense (To do this, go to Settings => Advanced Settings => Self-defense and put a checkbox on the option "Enable Self-Defense")

6. Now exit your Kaspersky and restart it.

7. Now go to Settings -> Advance Settings, and select Appearance, here you got option for selecting “Use alternate Skin”.



 After choosing new skin, it take few minutes to load it properly.In case it not loaded properly exit your Kaspersky and then restart it again.
